Our friends Jason and Gina in Portland sent Finn a puppy rattle that he is just loving (thanks J&G). He is getting better at grabbing onto things and controlling them which has been cool to watch.

rolling over

And...he did it. Here's two videos of Finn. One of him actually rolling over and one of him just hanging out in his crib. Grandma Jackie got to see him roll over first which is fitting since she has been encouraging him every day.

Talking,talkin,talkin

Finn has been talking up a storm lately-and drooling-we call him Drooly, Drooly. He're a little video of him talking with Brent and Grandma Jackie.

back to work

Back to work-This week will be my third full week back at work. It's difficult to make the transition but having grandma Jackie around was a huge help. Its hard to leave Finn in the mornings as he's so talkative and all smiles in the morning. I've tried to adjust my hours-going in early and leaving earlier helps but the commute and crazy gas prices are something that I have not missed.
I had my first day last week that Finn was already down for the night by the time I got home-thanks to Mariners traffic. That broke my heart but he ended up waking up so I got to feed him and rock him back to sleep.
Not only did Jackie watch Finn while we were at work but she gave him so much love and attention. It really helped me get through the work days knowing he was being so well cared for and loved. Having an extra pair of hands and grandma love made every day easier. Jackie helped in the morning so I could get ready, helped in the evening while we cooked etc. Most of all it was fun to watch Finn connect with her as she read to him, talked to him, played with him and changed him. We cant thank her enough.
